Amazing food and great vibes! My friend and I asked for the chicken burger to be customised to become salads, and the chef personally approached our table to confirm our order. Would have given them 5 stars, but the lady who served us was rude and need to learn better customer service skills. Other than that, everything else is fantastic! View all feedback.
What Jayden Schultz dislikes about Merrywell:
When we asked for a table for three, the initial waiter seemed annoyed, greeting us with a cold, unsmiling attitude as if we were disturbing him. After he went to check, a woman came over who was much warmer and friendlier. I had a burger, draught beer and fries for $15 - there was a deal going for Mondays! Even without the low price, the burger was pretty decent.
We visited here last night. For somewhere that has 1 main thing on their menu you would expect it to be done well. My burger was inedible. A great burger joint will ask how you want the patty cooked. It came to my plate still bleeding! I ended up pulling the patty out and eating the lettuce, bacon, tomato and bun. Very disappointing considering the price. Will not be back and definitely won't be recommending.
The Merrywell was pumping busy when we got there, and so were sent upstairs to get a table. If you haven't been or hadn't considered it, upstairs is a great option, especially in winter. Outdoor heaters get you warm and if the sun is shining it's on to the well-protected dining area. That's probably where the better bits end. The upstairs menu is different (and more expensive) than the downstairs one, which is fine unless you're sending over-flow guests upstairs. All in all it's an average experience that could be improved by move flexibility between the dining spaces and either slightly lower prices or slightly better meals.
