Reliable pub food. Nice open fire. Big screen for sport or music. Friendly staff. Lovely courtyard on a sunny afternoon. Quiet lunchtimes but very busy and noisy Fridays and Saturdays.

Welcome was very nice and it was very cozy by the fire on a cold day. But it’s the food here that stands out. From the perfect Parma with its home made sauce and served piping hot they obviously take care and attention with the favourites. But for me it was the new winter dish of sausages and mash potatoes. Everything was perfectly seasoned but the mash stood out as it was so silky and with the house made gravy with caramelised onions will have me coming back. It’s the mark of an excellent chef to make something seemingly so simple extraordinary. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $20–40
