Sunda is a culinary collaboration of vibrant South East Asian flavors and native Australian ingredients, crafted by Executive Chef Khanh Nguyen. Inspired by the bold tastes of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam, Sunda's menu combines unexpected elements using lesser known ingredients and techniques. Guests can choose between two set menus: the Sunda Classics menu priced at $98 per person or The Full Sunda Experience at $168 per person, both curated by Chef Khanh Nguyen. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. The combination of roti and Vegemite curry is a stroke of genius.
What a fantastic experience! It was impressive to see how smoothly everything ran, especially considering the restaurant had only been open for seven weeks when I visited. A big thank you to the chefs and the front-of-house team who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time, even though I was trying to rush them. (Note to self: don’t attempt to fit a set menu in before a 7:30 show!) I will definitely return to explore the rest of the menu!
