A good place for an easy meal in the docklands precinct. The staff are friendly, the meals tasty and generous. For only a few dollars more than the food courts close by, St Brews offers table service and freshly cooked food. Prices are pretty competitive for the quality and quantity. The coffee is pretty good too.
Everything was good here, the food, the drinks, the light filled location, which was only tarnished by the fact they must have forgotten us, as it took forever to have our order taken. Once I finally got someone's attention, the food came promptly and we all enjoyed our breakfast. If we had been served at a normal pace we would have loved it. More an office workers place than tourists, so has an upmarket feel.
I always go here for a hearty and healthy breakfast when in Melbourne. Staff are good but always busy and good selection on menu with option extras.
Overpriced for the quality of food served here along with the bad attitude and customer service of your front of house staff. Better to grab your meals from some other worthwhile cafes. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
I knew I was in for a bad experience when I arrived and the person at the counter looked miserable and annoyed. After sitting down my friend came to sit and we waited for someone to come to our table so she could order a drink Nobody came until I put my hand up for assistance and they came over and instructed us to use the QR code. It was completely quiet, and this person we could see standing around for much of the time. I then ordered through the QR code and we waited, not realising that the order never went through. So I went over to the counter to check on the order and ask politely if someone could simply just take our order. The person who was the manager was enraged by my suggestion and started lecturing me about the difficulties of hospitality and that it wasn’t worth hiring someone to wait tables when the customers can simply use a QR code or come to the counter. He was clearly annoyed from the minute I got there and was ready to have a fight. It would’ve been very easy for him to simply say ‘ Of course, sir what would you like to drink?’ But instead, thought he’d spend his time getting angry and lecturing me. He then came over with a drink and aggressively dropped it on the table so it’s spilled everywhere and my friend had to clean it up with a napkin. Easily be the most angry and unnecessarily aggressive business owner I’ve come across in hospitality.
