This was a special get together with overseas guests who wanted to try Greek cuisine with a difference. The service was wonderful, the place has a lovely vibe and ambience. Mary and I had a wonderful dinner at Salona, a Greek restaurant located on Swan Street in Richmond. The food and service were both excellent, thanks to Yanni who made sure everything was perfect. Last week, John William Irwin and I also enjoyed a meal at Salona and bonded over our shared knowledge of Yanni and his home in Chania. Needless to say, the raki was flowing.
I had an absolutely fantastic birthday dinner tonight! It was my second time at Salona and this time we chose the 3 course degustation. My partner and I couldn't find a single fault with any of the dishes, and we couldn't even pick a favorite! The atmosphere was lovely as we sat outside on a beautiful evening, the food made our mouths water, and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Wow this place is absolutely sensational I loved the dips and the Greek cheese!! Service is absolutely on point. Recognition to the server on the top floor (I think her name was Luana?? the one with the tattoos and bangs. She was fabulous, very impressed with her ability to describe the menu items in detail and guide our choices. Incredible experience altogether. Genuinely the best Greek in Melbourne. The best service as well. We had the calamari, the dips, and octopus to start, kingfish cured in ozo. We followed with the goat, lamb and the pork, and a few others. The pita was insanely perfect. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
