The menu of Saigon Square from Melbourne comprises about 28 different courses and drinks. On average you pay about A$8 for a dish / drink.

In a city known for its diverse and delicious dining options, this particular Asian restaurant in Melbourne failed to impress several food reviewers. One customer described the taste and quality of the food as the worst they had experienced during their 12-day stay in the city, recommending Chinatown as a better alternative for Asian cuisine. Another reviewer was disappointed by the lackluster beef pho, with tough meat and bland broth that seemed to lack authenticity. A different customer was unimpressed by their bo la lot noodle salad, feeling that they had essentially paid for a bowl of bean sprouts with little flavor. Similarly, a banh mi sandwich was criticized for its lack of essential ingredients, such as fresh bread and pate, leaving the customer unsatisfied. However, not all experiences were negative, as one customer enjoyed a vermicelli salad bowl with grilled chicken and praised the fresh vegetables and great service provided by the polite and approachable staff. Overall, while this restaurant may have some redeeming qualities, it seems that there are better dining options available in Melbourne for those seeking a truly authentic and satisfying Asian meal.

What tangojohnDallas dislikes about Saigon Square:
I have been in Melbourne for 12 days and tried many restaurants. This is by far the worst taste and quality of any Asian food i have had staying here. Just a few blocks away in the Chinatown area you will be better pleased. View all feedback.

****. I had the bo la lot noodle salad and felt that I essentially paid $10 for a bowl of bean sprouts. The nuoc cham was bland, which meant everything about the meal was bland. Also, vnmese meals are about the abundance of herbs. I got one 1.5 mint leaves. Honestly, these are basic, noodle salads and are staple Vnmese dishes so to get the balance wrong speaks volumes about you as a business. I am not willing to give them another go - with the plethora of other choices, I would go somewhere else for my Vietnamese lunch.I essentially gave this place one star for the quality of their ingredients - which is essentially rehydrated rice noodles, mediocre la lot beef rolls and lots, and lots of bean shoots (which I did NOT appreciate).

I love the Lunch Box at Saigon Square. This hidden gem of a food spot has everything you need all in one place: Uncle Jung's fried chicken beer combos, Jin Ramen, Monkey Bar ChillBro Paletas ice cream, and more. The Vietnamese Lunch Box offers great value for your money. Whether you dine in or take away, my go-to favorite is always the Prawn Spring Rolls.
