The service was fast, friendly and helpful. the coffee came quickly and to order. the bubble and squeak was great, although I personally would have less Hollandaise sauce. offers for more drinks adequately regular. the sun in the oktober was wonderful. would be happy to come back!
This caffe is a little gem. every time we visit the family in footscray, we go to rudimentary for the delicious meals and excellent service. leigh the manager always remembers us and make us very welcome. his employees are also the first advice. the menu is not very extensive, but surely enough for breakfast, brunch and lunch. my compliments to the cook, as my dish is always perfectly cooked.
Poor service arrogant staff that were generally cold and unfriendly. They had the attitude that they were doing you a favour by serving the customer. Food was average at best. Coffee not bad. Certainly, I would not recommend the cafe. Small Graces is much...better!
3.5 stars Where the f is Rudimentary?! The GPS said it’s here but I can’t find... oh here is a sign of a coffee cup! It must be here, nestled amoungst a semi residential area, beside the house offering psychic reading. This understated place was bustling and we waited a few minutes for our table.<br/ <br/ Our coffee orders came quickly enough, the kids loved their babycinos and I love my weak soy mocha. But food was another matter, we waited quite a bit of time for it, and the kids are getting restless.<br/ <br/ Our food came, the kids loved their grain salad with rice, quinoa, pomegranate, kale chips and dill. I got waffles (I know, kids are eating healthier than me! and it was so lovely decorated beautifully poached figs and walnuts. Unfortunately the walnuts are quite stale, and it ruined the otherwise yummy dish. <br/ <br/ Hubby didn’t love his porridge either. I didn’t try it but it looked a bit undercooked and hubby said it was quite chewy. I still wanted to go back and try other stuff though, my soy mocha was so on point!
Very friendly staff. Food came out quick. Soy flatwhite was nice. However the chai latte could be abit sweeter. Pumpkin and humus salad was delicious, a very big roast pumpkin serving. Flavours worked well together especially the goats cheese. Breakfast roll with potato hash was delicious. Carrot cake was nice and moist packed with flavour. Loved the walnuts on them
