This review relates to weekends only - different menu and crowd factor during the week.We are regulars here and find it excellent. There is a range of light and heavy meals, the food comes out hot and together, the fried halumi is a nice treat, the service is attentive without being intrusive, and there are a range of seating options. It would be hard to find if you didn't know where it was but that seems to keep the crowds down, particularly when the uni is not in session, which is probably the best time to go. During week days full of uni students so go there on the weekend.

Average coffee shopI only bother going if I need a quick boost between classesPrices are higher than I'd like.

way to visit again. The coffee was excellent, the food options were extensive and delicious, and the outdoor seating was perfectly positioned for enjoying the warmer weather. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.

Reading Room Cafe is one of my favorite brunch spots in the West. Tucked away in Building P of Victoria University, it has an unexpected location, which I actually adore! It feels like a little hideaway where you can bring a book and escape the hustle and bustle of trendy weekend brunch locations like Yarraville and Seddon.
