The Post Deng Cafe has been replaced by 'Mao Please,' which is a much better option. If you were hoping to visit the Post Deng Cafe, it is no longer there.

It's usually busy, full of people, everyone enjoying great Chinese food. Staff and friendly and helpful and the food is fresh and hot, with loads to choose from. Great for a reasonably priced meal in Chinatown. We love it.

Upon entering the restaurant, it appeared bustling and full of promise. However, once seated, the lack of attentive service was apparent as waiters were seen sitting and eating next to us. We had to request water ourselves and noticed the waitress eating while serving our food. The dishes were flavorful until we discovered a bug in our dumplings. After informing the waitress, all we received was a refund for the dumplings without much sympathy. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I believe a higher level of professionalism is necessary. In my experience, smaller mistakes are usually compensated with the full bill covered. This establishment is in need of serious improvement.

We have always loved the food at Post Deng Cafe and went there on April 15th for dinner only to find that the restaurant had closed down. We were disappointed at first but then we discovered Supper Inn which is just around the corner on Celestial Av. The food is even better than Post Deng and then service was good. If you were lookign to go to Post Deng, go to Supper Inn instead.

The lady at the promised an unreal dining experience.. Butchers paper on the tables, waiter in Nike track pants and k mart t shirt.. Quail dry and now at on bone, resembled a rat, mains were terrible and they ran out of Chinese beer, we only had one!!?? Never again and I honestly wish no one has to go to the toilet... Even in a back street of Shangai this place would be bad
