People tend to flock to Laksa King around the corner, but who would want to wait in a queue extending outside the door there when you can walk straight in to this place right around the corner? The food is brilliant, pretty cheap and service is good too. Get the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup - it's their self proclaimed signature dish and is amazing! View all feedback.
This pho is absolutely delicious. It is the best pho I have tasted in Melbourne. The broth is rich and flavorful, the beef is tender and juicy, and the noodles are perfectly textured. I am in love with this dish. Pho with everything: 10/10.
J ordered a Papaya salad with fried tofu for $16. The portion was generous with plenty of tofu, although it was slightly chewy. The topping of peanuts and fried shallots was minimal, and the absence of mint was disappointing. The papaya was crunchy and delicious, but the dressing of lime and fish sauce was too sweet. The 6 large, non-oily prawn crackers were crunchy and enjoyable. I chose the Salt and pepper chicken ribs on tomato rice for $11.50. The meal included 5 nicely spiced ribs that were well-done, but still moist inside - messy to eat, however. The pickled carrot, cucumber, and veggie spice mix were nice accompaniments, but there wasn't enough of each. The tomato rice was interesting and good value, although I appreciated sharing some of J's salad. During lunch on New Year's Eve 2018, the restaurant was clean and had a pleasant interior. The service was quick, and the staff were lovely, providing complimentary tea. We shared prawn spring rolls, which were quite good with generous lettuce cups. The stir-fried tofu and vegetable chili lemongrass noodles had chewy noodles, flavorful tofu, and plenty of vegetables for non-meat eaters. Unfortunately, the sauce was too sweet and lacked enough spice. The vermicelli salad with fried tofu had a good amount of crisp tofu and an excellent spicy fish sauce dressing. However, there was too much lettuce, not enough other vegetables or peanuts, and no herbs.
My favourite Vietnamese restaurant of all times. Not exaggerating, every single dish is absolutely delicious! Including the special homemade chilli, I’m obsessed over it, been buying their jars to bring home. Love how every meal goes with pandan tea. Staffs are courteous, service is fast, restaurant is clean, and music is relaxing. Can’t ask for more, deserves a 5 star!
Service was quick, flavours were really good as well, i just wish they added more crispy noodles in my dish. I ordered the crispy noodles with seafood stirfry, they were very generous with the seafood, prawns tasted fresh and lots of veggies, but just not enough noodles.
Now I came here over 3 months ago so hopefully, this is still valid. Dropped in with a friend for a late summer meal. We didn't want much but the menu was mouthwatering. I had the pho broth that was delicately spicy and not too hot for me. Perfect. My friend had salty fish and chicken. Couldn't use the EFTPOS when we split the bill as it was under $20 each, so had to go and get cash. Not sure if that's a regular thing or not. The atmosphere inside is simple but inviting. Staff are great. Love that there are plenty of photos of each meal helps us who think we are offay with Asian food but really aren't. Wheelchairs can get in with a small step into the cafe. Kid friendly. Parking? Oh dear, it's Flemington so take your time to find one and read the signs as they can be tricky.
