I used to love this place but the owner ruined it! He always stuffs up the orders so so rude. Used to have such beautiful staff but can see a bit of a turn over. If it wasn’t the owner I would come back but so bad. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Feels like its changed in the past year, I have recently moved back to the area and the vibes have really changed, had a really negative interaction with a older short man that just seemed like he didn 't even want to be there and was quite rude and abrasive towards me to me. The menu has also changed and removed lots of their gluten free and vegan options. I chatted to a lovely worker who said that the boss had been notified of the want for more vegan/intolerant slices and treats, but no changes have been made. The staff members always are so wonderful and friendly. I used to love waiting in line to do the crossword with the baristas and now they tell me they aren 't allowed to do it anymore. This is not the Pepper I know? I really just hope the cafe is not going through a 'rebrand ' like a lot of the other hospitality venues in the area. We do not need more cut and paste robot venues keep the personable, unique, friendly vibes! Feels like the life has been sucked out of what was once an institution of Flemington, go to Wolf and Hound down the road instead. This little gem will forever be my favourite brunch spot. Please send me the recipe for your potato gratin or please let me order a big pan one day a year so I can nap happily ever after demolishing it. So good!
