What User doesn't like about Mr Ed Cafe:
The service was friendly but quite slow. B'fast pretty average when I read beetroot I don't expect twirls of it but proper pieces or slices and apple is not really a great addition to eggs Benedict, plus over toasted bread with a rock hard crust doesn't help. Just keep the classics as classics and don't try to be extra hip. Wouldn't go back to be honest. Coffee was great though! View all feedback.
The soy flat white was not the greatest, but the chai latte was enjoyable. The passionfruit cheesecake was divine, with a fantastic taste and creamy texture. The banana bread was toasted perfectly and had great flavor.
I was impressed to find a restaurant in Melbourne that offers unique dishes instead of the usual options. I ordered the nourishing bowl, which was delicious despite being a bit heavy on the pumpkin. My friends also enjoyed their meals, which were both visually appealing and aromatic. The dishes appeared to be freshly prepared with care, and the prices were reasonable. We definitely plan on returning in the future.
This restaurant is a gem in a bustling area filled with various dining options. The coffee and service are excellent, and every meal I've tried so far has been delicious. The prices are quite reasonable, but the empty display cabinets and fridge fronts were a bit of a letdown in terms of aesthetics. It's possible that they had sold out by the time I arrived at 11 am on a Saturday morning.
Words cannot describe how fantastic this place is !!! from the service to coffee to food its a solid 10/10. <br/ <br/ in my eyes its the best cafe in Melbourne! i highly recommend visiting it !!
Very nice to walk into a cafe in Flemington with an extensive menu and one that reads well with lots of variety. I ordered the Pan Fried Gnocchi with prosciutto and sage butter, the Gnocchi were perfect being fluffy on the inside with a lovely caramelised surface. The flavours worked well and my only criticism is that some of those lovely pan juices from the burnt butter should have been drizzled over the dish. My friend had the buttermilk chicken burger and enjoyed it. The Chicken was moist with an awesome crisp coating and accompanied with a tangy mayo. His only criticism was that the crunchy slaw was just undressed cabbage (not the expected coleslaw) and lacked flavour but the chips were crunchy which is not always a given. All in all good food and with some adjustments easily could elevate these dishes to 4 out of 5.
