If you want somewhere where the pasta is as good as Rome – or better and the pizza is just as good this is the place. Friendly and cheerful. Nice wine that's not too expensive - when you can't get to Italy this is the alternative View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Michelangelo:
I visited this restaurant with a group of friends. I ordered the Michelangelo pizza but found it a bit low on taste. The cheese and prosuito added flavor but not enough. I tried some of the Quattro formaggi and that too was ok. The verdict on a pasta from a friend was 'ok' too.On the other side, service was very good and we had a really good time. View all feedback.
Beautiful small family restaurant in the middle of CBD, very courteous and fantastic service delicious food to complete everything.
Best coffee and food After many years in the CBD, this place makes you feel you are overseas. It takes you out of a hurry in the CBD and reminds you that life is so much bigger! Love it. Thank you to every employee who worked there. Great service as always. Must visit when you're near Queen.
Lockdown Pizza class hosted by Matteo and Iliara last night was great fun and absolutely delicious food and wine. Porketta divine. Nice to meet Matteo when he comes home the food box earlier a day, then get tips on how to make wonderful pizza lace 72 hours proving time. Craft beer was delicious and (other) Matteo was so interesting with his beer making knowledge. Congratulations to you all and we can wait to visit your Osteria when it opens again.
Just ordered pizza's today they were amazing! Very prompt friendly service. Absolutely can recommend.
Michelangelo's is an Awesome Place. I had never been there before was just walking past so dropped in for Breakfast/Coffee it has (I believe) the best coffee in Melbourne I should know cause Im Italian...lol Breakfast was really yummy fresh ingredients are used but what it really deserves (if I could give it) is 10 Stars for the service they provide (so I have been back 3 times this week have never been disappointed). The young Italian waitress deserves a pay rise as she is absolutely outstanding. She makes everyone feel welcome with her friendly personality efficient service (which these days it is very hard to find wait staff like her). The owner also works on the floor his service also goes above beyond which is really great to see (plus he speaks english perfectly). Overall Michelangelo's certainly won't disappoint, it seems like all their customers are regulars, who are welcomed like they are part of the family ... They are greeted by name coffee orders are remembered even though it's such a busy place, I have never felt like they are trying to kick me out, to turn the tables over which is great as I've stayed for over an hour on each occasion. I've worked in hospitality for over 20 years its great to see that there are still some places out there that really enjoy serving u are genuinely happy to be at work.
