Points for: nice vibe, knowledgeable bartenders<br/ <br/ One of the original 'Asian ' style bars from like a decade ago good to see it has longevity. After all these years, I still find it hard to find this bar, as it 's along one of the generic laneways off Chinatown, with a tiny sign and up a dark flight of stairs.<br/ <br/ After work, Manchuria has a chilled out, casual vibe about it great that they 're not pumping out hard music, but they might turn it up after 9pm. Still not too over bearing though you can still have a conversation with your friends.<br/ <br/ No happy hour specials, but prices aren 't too crazy either.<br/ <br/ If you don 't know what cocktail to get, the bartenders are more than happy to suggest or make something up for you. They 're pretty friendly.
No vodka on my drink they forgot to put some. Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: $1–20
Lizzie's initial impression of the restaurant was not ideal, as she found the walkway leading up to the bar to be unsavory. However, once inside, she was impressed by the ambience, drinks, and company. Lizzie particularly enjoyed the delicious cocktails and the knowledgeable staff. The venue was nice and she never had trouble finding a seat. On the downside, Lizzie thought the restaurant was a bit dark and noisy on Friday nights when there was a live acoustic band playing, so she recommended choosing another place if that atmosphere isn't to your liking.
