Hidden down a laneway in the heart of the CBD is Manchester Press the perfect spot for coffee or if you 're feeling like bagels/toasties for lunch.<br/ <br/ We had the avo smash bagels and although a litle expensive, they were a huge portion size. I 'd be keen to try one of the sweet ones next time.<br/ <br/ Service was good but nothing special, the staff aren 't overly friendly. Decor is very earthy and what I 'd call 'Melbourne vibes ' where you can get good photos.
Acai bowl<br/ : Manchester Press<br/ : Rankins Lane, Melbourne<br/ : $16AUD<br/ ————————————————————<br/ : Named after a printing press that once occupied the venue, Manchester Press is now one of Melbourne’s hottest brunch spots. It has high ceilings, barred windows and an exposed-brick façade. The interior is softened by a combination of low-hanging lampshades and wooden tables with iron seats.<br/ <br/ : Manchester Press focuses on consistent coffee. As for food, compared to some cafes this offering might seem narrow, but the menu here is all about reliability, and Manchester Press nails it. Say for the acai bowl, it can be considered as one of the best. Creamy and mellow sweet blend that cuts through the acidic sourness of seasonal fruits.
Visited this cafe lately. Had avocado smash bagel $19 which is overpriced. Cuban sandwich $17 tasted better than bagel. Staff shown lack of interest with the sitting request from customers. Customers having to wait and called staffs to order food and drink.
Coffee is phenomenal. This is a must stop for me every Melbourne visit. Not sure about food. Don't care about it. It could suck and this place would still be 5 stars. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
