It's not the best of Italian restaurants. In fact it's extremely mediocre but the food isn't half bad. It's a good, quick, pass time restaurant if you need a quick bite before you catch a film at the Jam Factory. Not very many good dishes on the menu but if you like pasta, this is as good as you're probably going to get around South Yarra. Their used to be a wonderful Italian restaurant called South Yarra Trattoria but unfortunately that closed down and this is the only thing left around the area that can remotely replace it. There are other Italian restaurants around the area but they're mainly for pizzas.
Ordered delivery. So bland and tasteless. I think the sauce was out of a jar and they used frozen veggies. Also it was just luke warm once it got to my house. Pretty bad, never again.
My wife's tortellini was out of a packet, and I chose not to eat most of my pasta dish. Incredibly disappointing given we ate there last time we were in Melbourne 3 years ago and had a great meal. There is so much good food in Melbourne give this place a swerve.
Delicious authentic Italian restaurant. Open a little later than others in the area, great for a later dinner or take away. Highly recommend the Quattro Stagioni pasta, it is amazing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–60
La Lucciola Bistro is cozy little Italian restaurant sitting on chapel st, South Yarra. It's got some fairly decent food, at partially decent prices, and is a good last-minute place to have a seat with friends for dinner as it's not too busy usually. It's close to many entertainment complexes so you shouldn't get too bored in the surrounding areas if you choose to go out after or before eating.
