I tried the nasi lemak squid, Chee Cheong Fun, iced kopi, and also ordered a curry puff. The kopi was missing its usual aroma and didn’t taste quite right. The squid was disappointing since it wasn’t like the picture and was too salty. The Chee Cheong Fun was just average. The curry puff looked like it was fried in dirty, reused oil (as shown in my photo), and the pastry had absorbed the oil, which gave me a sore throat afterward. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Dined in for dinner at Kopilicious. The food was excellent, earning a perfect rating of 5. Service was very good, rated 4, and the atmosphere was outstanding, also a 5. All this came at an affordable price of $1–20 per person.

Great vibes all around with a lovely live singer and cosy camping-style aesthetics. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into setting this place up! The food is decent – not bad, but could use a bit more flavour overall. The dishes lean more towards a Chinese-style taste, which makes sense since the restaurant is run by the owners of Lim Kopi. Personally, I would’ve liked the sambal to be stronger and spicier, and the noodles a little less wet, but that’s also down to personal preference. What we ordered: Nasi lemak with fried chicken – $20.80 Mee goreng – $17.80 Total: $38.60

Came to Kopilicious with my family on Saturday lunch before the mad crowd rush and it was our first time dining at this restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes to share from the Curry Fish Balls, Fried Sotong (squid), Roti Canai with Beef Rendang, Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken, Char Koay Teow, Stir fried Dropped Noodles, Nasi Goreng and a Cham (Coffee Tea mix drink). To me, the standout dishes were Stir fried Dropped Noodles, which is a dish I've never encountered before, the Nasi Lemak and the Cham (I do love how they accompany it with 2 crackers). The Char Koay Teow was good although it didn't have enough wok hei as I like, but it was served with the hottest sambal paste that I've ever had in Melbourne! I do want to try their KPL Mee Goreng next time. I really like the atmosphere and vibes of this restaurant as it feels like your camping as noted by the tents and seats and even have a stage where a live band performs. Service was friendly, quick and attentive, cutlery and crockery are self serve. I don't usually visit this side of the CBD but it's definitely a restaurant I'll visit again if I'm craving for Malaysian. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Cham, Roti Canai with Beef Rendang
