Kappaya - Melbourne
Kappaya
Description
Kappaya, a charming café nestled in the beautiful Abbotsford Convent grounds, offers a unique blend of Japanese and Vietnamese culinary delights. Since its inception in 2007, it has attracted both locals and visitors with its inviting atmosphere and varied menu. While many diners praise the exceptional miso stir-fried chicken and relaxing ambiance, some reviews indicate a shift in quality and management, leading to mixed experiences. Although certain dishes have disappointed, the café maintains a loyal following. With its cozy setting and attentive service, Kappaya remains a delightful spot, though patrons are encouraged to approach with varied expectations.

A truly unique concept in Japanese food in Melbourne, this place makes you feel warm and cozy from the moment you set foot inside.
What is Japanese soul food? All I have ever known about Japanese food is that I have to order another dinner about half an hour later cause tiny shavings of
Friendly manager and nice food, especially curry puff and Vietnam cafe. Also, here provide plenty of beers that me and my friend love it. I I strongly recommend friends and family come here and enjoy a lovely afternoon.
I wish I lived closer to Kappaya, but it's probably a good thing I don't because I would spend all my money there. There's something about this charming Japanese cafe that I find irresistible. I could spend hours there sipping matcha and watching people. Although matcha is my favorite drink there, I also enjoy their coffee, beer, and snacks such as spiced rice crackers and sweets.
