The festival highlighted the rising popularity of craft beer in Australia, showcasing brewers' creativity and innovation. Attendees enjoyed delicious meals from local restaurants and Melbourne food trucks, paired with a variety of craft beers. While the festival celebrated the craft beer community, reviews for the restaurant Jasper Hotel were mixed. Some praised the food and service, while others found the portions lacking in size and the service lacking experience. Was Randall Stehr at Jasper Kitchen a mag?
I've recently stayed at the Jasper hotel and had breakfast and a couple of dinners at the Jasper kitchen. The breakfast was great and good value. One of my dinners (Japanese pancakes) was pleasant, but not great. The second dinner (salmon steak) was excellent with moist and perfectly cooked crispy skin salmon and brilliant chips.I would eat there again, especially as prices are very reasonable. What Brandy Rau dislikes about Jasper Kitchen:
Don't expect a unbelievable fancy dinner here. You get the basics and the basics are ok. I had a salmon filet with fries. Both were good but nothing special. Interior is not pretty romantic so i feel its good for a quick bite View all feedback.

I wasn’t expecting much as it’s an eatery attached to a hotel. I was very wrong. It serves unpretentious foods and it was a good night as it ticked all my boxes! <br/ <br/ Located near Victoria Market which makes it easy to park if you do not pick the nights where they have the summer night markets! <br/ <br/ A casual environment but serene! Staff was not over attentive which was great! <br/ <br/ Had a Groupon deal for 2 where you get a shared entree, 2 mains and 2 glass of wine. Ordered the salt and calamari which was small for a reason, the mains are huge in portion. For mains we had the medium- rare ribeye and eye fillet, it was cooked exactly as ordered!!! It was tender, juicy and flavoursome! The mushroom sauce was a bonus, and the fries topped with Parmesan shavings was a nice touch! Not like most eatery where they have overly salted fries or overcook steak..etc<br/ <br/ It has been a while since I had a good night where everything is . Thank you! And I am back for more in a couple of weeks!

3.8 stars Jasper Kitchen has a lovely ambience. There was a single waiter on duty and it was a pity seeing her work extra hard to manage all the customers.I had the 15$ porterhouse steak special which included a decent portion of fries and salad along with a complimentary house beer/wine/softdrink.The steak was cooked nicely in a red wine jus. The fries were a tad bit salty and the salad was good.A good decent steak meal which is not so hefty on the pocket.

<br/ <br/ I had the waffles with mascarpone cream, blueberries, macadamia and coconut. I was pleasantly surprised by this, it could have used with maple syrup, but I’m sure if I had asked they would have got me a pot of it. The juices were very refreshing.<br/ <br/ The service at Jasper is top notch, and is one of the advantages of eating a hotel, is you get the best hospitality.<br/ <br/ As far as hotel restaurants go, it’s decent food with stellar service. I’m actually curious about the after 4pm, ramen bar that it turns into at night – I look forward to trying that one out next time I am in the vicinity.<br/ <br/ Disclaimer: Invite.<br/

What happened to the food here? It used to be so good. I ate here today and the food made me feel sick. Everything was bad, the French toast, the pancakes. I hope they take the feedback seriously. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–40 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
