Giddiup Café - Melbourne

I do really like it here and their smashed avo for breakfast is yummy. They do great GF bread as well and the coffee is good. Only thing is they don't do scrambled eggs.... so if this is what you're after you'll need to look elsewhere.

Great coffee but not many food option. We wanted hot food but there was only one soup and one hot main, the rest were salads and sandwiches. This place is packed for weekday lunch so be sure to get in early for a seat.

The coffee is amazing , the fruit toast was close to the best I've ever had ... but the service needs improvement . I first had a coffee at Giddiup last week and was so impressed by the taste that I went back this morning for breakfast on my way to work . I was not greeted when I walked in and waited awkwardly for someone to see what I would like . The man at the counter stared at me like I was an idiot and finally said "Ah, hello?" sarcastically . No smile , quite arrogant . For me , my morning coffee is a social event and half the enjoyment comes from a smile and small talk with the staff . This man's manner dampened my experience at Giddiup and I will not make an effort to go back . If you are after great coffee , you will absolutely find it here but do not expect friendly service .

Nice breakfast venue with decent coffee. Music was pumping at 8:30 - too loud; for a younger clientele who wouldn't surface until noon (sort it out guys) Terrific condiments with the toast - best in South Melbourne actually.

Hidden gem near the market - nice cooked breakfast but few tables. Baguettes are a good value lunch option. Staff always very friendly.
