The dining area is quite crowded but once you settle in, it's fine and the food and price makes up for any cramped dining. Order and pay at the counter, grab your...food and then a seat. It's a well oiled machine.

It 's unclear why DonToo is deserving of the praise it is receiving here, when there are similarly priced options in the CBD with better food and service for the price....The decor of the restaurant is pleasant, but that is the only nice thing one can say about this place. To start, we ordered warm sake, which instead of being served via a small jug as is usually the custom at 'Japanese ' restaurants and bars, came in a large ceramic cup which very quickly became cold sake. The waitresses are absolutely clueless; we ordered a number of entrees to share, and were not even presented with plates to share our meal. We were also asked to pay up front after being seated for dinner, which was rather confronting, as we had already been seated (once again, another example of the poorly trained staff; I should emphasise again this was clearly not the pay at the counter situation one encounters during lunch time. It was a Saturday evening). The Ramen at Don Too is also sub-standard for the price, the Gyoza was not properly defrosted and absolutely disgusting, and one can experience equivalent if not better quality at more up market food courts; it 's just not worth it. Disgusting dining experience overall. If you like the fast asian slop that gets served up at food courts, you should definitely dine here.

I can now safely say, Don Don does one of the bes... read more Ever since being hooked onto sashimi bowls, I've been on a hunt to try the best bang for the buck sashimi don. I can now safely say, Don Don does one of the best, if not the best valued Sashimi Don in Melb!<br/ <br/ I visit Don Don almost once a week they consistently have good customer service (pretty good for a fast food takeaway restaurant , efficient and big portions for what you pay! By accident, I also discovered you can request to not have specific toppings like ginger salad, they will end up giving you 1 more slice of Tofu and a bit more pickles instead! Love that even though they are cheap and high volume, they never skimp on the ingredients and always fresh in quality.<br/ <br/ HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! :
