We discovered Deko Boko via Zomato Gold. Since then we’ve been frequenting this cafe almost every week. This place is gold! Delicious and great value for money food. Friendly staff and quick service whenever we dined there around 6pm.
My friends and I went to Deko Boko for lunch on a Saturday. The small cafe/restaurant has a very authentic and relaxed atmosphere with Japanese staff. We ordered the regular chicken Katsu curry ($12.80) and the large salmon poke bowl ($10.80). The curry was amazing and one of the best I've had in Melbourne. The poke bowl was also very good, but nothing too unique. Both dishes came with complimentary miso soup. I would definitely return for a beer during happy hour (5pm-7pm) as they have a great drinks menu. I also want to try their tiramisu next time!
Visited Deko Boko twice within a week. You definitely have to try the chicken karage don and the Japanese curry. Portion was quite generous and price is affordable. The matcha soufflé was not as good as I expected but I would definitely be back to try the other cakes. Overall extremely pleased with the food!!
Sweets were ok. Didn’t really enjoy the drinks. The service was good. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
The reason i keep coming back is of course, the food is great, but what really draws me in is the atmosphere created by the staff , all the staff radiate pure joy. Their genuine smiles and positive energy lift my spirit every time I walk in. It’s a reminder that how we show up can have a powerful impact on those around us.
