Dee Casa was our first destination of food expedition in Melbourne. Wehad bruschetta with bacon, tapas of Morrocan lamb African chicken wings, a trio of sliders brioche (London fish scallop pattie, Korean pork braised rillettes with kimchi, etc., black Angus pattie) with shoestring fries, tortilla ceviche a kid’s meal. Brushetta was just ok; chicken wings were spicy special; lamb was too over cooked; tortilla ceviche sliders were the ones that stood out. (Food 3.5/5; Service 3/5; Ambience 3/5)
Saturday night dinner. Had dinner on Saturday and had the best time there. I had paella and I loved it. Can't wait to go back. Food was great and waitress who looked after our table was great. It was a busy night but food came very fast. Would come back and recommend to anyone. Planning to have my 29th birthday here.p.s I went after looking at their trip advicer page as they had really good comments.
This must be one of the worst restaurants I have been to in over 100 cities that I have visited in the last few years. The service was absent, the food was lack lustre, bland and cold when served. The gnocchi should have been soft and fluffy but were rubbery and reheated and would have rebounded from the wall if thrown against it. They were inedible. The vegetables looked like they had yet to be fully defrosted. Staff refused to acknowledge bad food and blamed us for not liking their food. Apparently it was meant to be that way. Ridiculous. No apology, no empathy, still required to pay for two inedible meals that were left uneaten at the table. No idea of customer service. Avoid this one at all costs unless you are in the mood for a bad experience.
We ate at this restaurant tonight. I ordered the lamb rump and my partner had the seafood linguine. The lamb was a bit tough, but the potatoes and beans were delicious. I found the sauce to be a bit thin for the lamb. My partner was surprised that the seafood linguine only had prawns as the sole seafood option.
