Contribute FeedbackDa Noi is a trendy Sardinian fusion restaurant offering interesting and well-prepared dishes that may come with a twist. While the food received mixed reviews, with some dishes being exceptional while others fell short, the standouts were the lamb ragout and zucchini flowers. The degustation menu was highly praised for accommodating various dietary needs and offering high-quality Italian wines. The intimate setting, knowledgeable staff, and focus on seasonal, fresh ingredients left diners impressed and eager to return. Despite some minor issues with certain dishes and pricing, Da Noi received rave reviews for its overall experience, making it a solid choice for a special night out.
Simply amazing food and customer service! Please open something north of the border, like collingwood or Fitzroy -we will welcome you with open arms .
This restaurant is a scurry. to serve as an Italian restaurant with fresh products from the “Bauernhof”, eating was very average and super expensive. licensed, a glass white wine began at $18. right from the beginning the waiter talked about the tasting menu, we were not aware that it never mentioned a la carte. extremely disappointing and confusing to spend over $400 on a Friday evening meal.
In simple terms. divine. this is an experience to enjoy. we love the concept, but it also provides fresh, healthy and unique.
I had a delicious dinner here this week. very intimate setting, amazing personal and simply sensational eating. they love the approach, no menus and eat on the basis of the best seasonal products for the week. Eating was light, tasty and fresh! will definitely go back. Thank you.
Da Noi is no longer BYO. Since when? Who knows? It has ALWAYS allowed BYO. This new information is surprising given that there is no indication of the change of policy on the website or Facebook page, that we could find. We only found out tonight when we arrived for our long anticipated 39th wedding anniversary dinner … at one of our favourite restaurants … with one of our favourite Grande Marque champagnes. Living in NSW, my wife and I are not frequent diners at Da Noi. However, for more than 15 years we have dined here every time we visit Melbourne (except when our booking was COVID-cancelled in 2021)! This makes Da Noi’s response when we walked through the door a mix of embarrassing, confusing and insulting. As we were shown our table we were told that Da Noi did not allow BYO. A bit embarrassing, standing inside the restaurant with wine in hand. The reason? “Because the high quality of the food and excellent wine list meant that BYO was not appropriate!” I was confused. “Do you mean that in the past your food wasn’t high quality and your wine list wasn’t excellent?” The response? “I’ll speak to the owner. He sometimes allows a special wine.” The insult? After a 10 minute wait the staff member returned and asked if we’d like still or sparkling water. “What about allowing us to drink our wine?” “Oh, yes. He said you could. Corkage will be $45.” Now, I know Mr Porcu owns Da Noi and can charge whatever he likes. At the same time, I know when someone is trying to “have a lend”/offend/punish/insult so we responded in kind … we left and will not be returning. So sad!
