After a two week trip in Victoria, my partner and I wanted a good meal on a Sunday night. We wanted to be away from the crowds of Lygon Street, but didn't want to spend a fortune. We were very lucky indeed. What a treat. We both had the taster menu, which was a delight. The wine was well chosen, and very reasonable. We stayed in half a dozen places in Victoria, and ate at many different restaurants. All were good. However, we felt compelled to write a review of just one place.Go try, you won't be disappointed.

Cure is the perfect space for a feed and drinks with someone special. It's intimate it's warm it's delicious and the drink menu is eclectic and fun. The owner / waiter / bar legend Michael creates a chilled and attentive dining experience. Food was superb and thoughtful which is refreshing. I can't recommend it enough :)

I can't rate this highly enough. I walked in and was greeted with a friendly smile and a glass of whisky. Intended to go for a quick meal alone and stayed the whole night eating and drinking at the bar. The bartender/owner Michael was a champion and kept me entertained. The food was superb - I went for the "feed me" (degustation) option and almost every dish blew me away. The whisky list is extensive and the beers are few but all of them are next level (trust me, I tried them all). I didn't get to try the wines, but the range of international wines looked great. It was a great atmosphere and perfect for solo diners (if you're on business like me), or couples and groups.

A seriously good experience so I hope more people discover this place. The owner/chef helped us to choose the 5 course degustation for $45pp. We left holding our full bellies. I never knew Brussels Sprouts could be this tasty. Lightly crisped in a sake and miso glaze, we gladly ate all our vegetables because they were that good! The Garlic Prawns were sweet and juicy, followed by a delicious but chewy Mushroom and Black Truffle Risotto. The Pork Ribs won the highlight of the meal just right i

This place is perfect. I showed up with a group of 6 on an early Saturday night (about 9pm), and there was nobody else at the bar, despite this place being Australia famous. The bartender came and sat by our table and walked us through the menu, listening to our preferences and being perfectly patient when we took forever to decide. The whiskeys are served in proper nosing glasses, and there were some fun old board games at the back which we grabbed to play at the table (Trivial Pursuit, Scrabbl
