Not for profit eatery with no frills. No choice in the menu, other than the time you visit. Each (lunch/dinner) sitting has a different dish. Great, wholesome food if you're in a hurry. Communal dining, some self-service, ring the bell on exit as a sign of appreciation. Reading material available for purchase. Highly recommend and will visit again when in Melbourne next time. What Anonym dislikes about Crossways:
This restaurant offers true vegetarian delight! I absolutely adore this place. I have been coming here for the past year and have never been disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. It has a unique atmosphere, with customers ranging from corporate workers to students, all enjoying their meals. I especially enjoy the desserts they offer with their main courses. It is definitely worth the money for their al... View all feedback.

We visited this place a few times, every time we are there the place packs a punch with really good food. The best part is you have a huge appetite this place can satisfy you completely. The desserts are even better.

A Hare Krishna restaurant with a set menu that changes everyday. Social Security recipients can get a concession. When I worked at a call centre many years ago many of the employees were Indian some Chinese and a few whites. My coworker Musharraf said" The whites are dressed up like Hares dancing down Swanston Street" ( Amusing from an Indian perspective) He would play practical jokes by pretending he was on line when he wasn't and let me think he was talking smut to an old lady. Indians have mostly been nice to me.My friend Netu's family, who had a restaurant in Richmond, fed me when I was poor.Eat at Crossways. It's great. It will even out your blood pressure and prevent cancer.

Amazing all you can eat restaurant. Meals are delicious and very affordable. Great to see how business men are sitting next to students and all other people you could think of. A place for everyone. Highly recommended.

I came here often as a student. Still do when I am in Melbourne city. A new vegetarian set dish each day with rice and papadums for one inexpensive price. Very warm Hari Krishna people serving. A waft of spice fills the air. I don't classify this as a standard restaurant. The place has tables and chairs and a community feel. No waiters service so there a Do-It-Yourself element. You line up and food is dished onto your plate. When you finish your meal you take it to a table and scrape clean your plate into a food scraps bucket and pile dishes accordingly. Great for a speedy inexpensive lunch.

Searching for a quick vegan dinner, we stumbled across this unusual spot. Very inexpensive, and the quality of the food was very good. A real cross section of customers, and run by the Hare Krishna organisation, there was a subsidised price available. No choices, but two curries, rice, pappadums, and a dessert was very enjoyable.

I was looking for a quite early dinner and came across this place. The food itself was delicious and the portions were very generous but what most amused me was the service. Even though it was early they were quite busy and managed to be friendly and attentive to everyone.

For anyone in Melbourne searching for a quick and very affordable meal less then $10 Everyone should try vegan vegetarian Crossways Restaurant

I was searching to eat some Nepalese cuisine and went to Crossways. They make very tasty vegetarian food. Everyone should try

For just under $10, you can enjoy a generous main dish, dessert, and drink at Crossways, a warmly welcoming restaurant in the heart of the CBD. They offer healthy vegetarian or vegan options for diners from all walks of life. The portion I took away was so large that it easily fed myself and two hungry kids.

So fulfilling tasteful. Once you’re done with first dish, you can go back for second but trust me, there won’t be even room for the dessert. Great food, fast service, going back #NoAnimalsWereHarmedInTheMaking.
