Description

The Collins Quarter offers a mixed experience with some highlights and drawbacks. The location near financial buildings on Collins St. attracts a crowd of suits on a Friday night, leading to a somewhat elitist atmosphere for casual visitors. The bar is on the pricier side, but the friendly staff and cozy seating alcoves add to the charm. The food receives high praise, with standout dishes like crayfish papadelle and slow-cooked Wagyu brisket. The atmosphere is described as fabulous, and the service is friendly and knowledgeable. The venue is also recommended for private parties and birthday celebrations, with a great selection of beers and attentive staff. Overall, despite some reservations, many guests look forward to returning to the Collins Quarter for another delightful meal or a fun night out.

Enjoyed a delightful meal here with a good friend. I used to visit when it was Doc Martens. Loved the delicious food, especially crayfish papadelle and a great Riesling. Malcolm was the perfect waiter. Will be back and soon.

Came in for an early dinner before going to see Kinky Boots. I had the most delicious porterhouse steak! My mum and sister loved their burgers, both cooked just the way they like them. Great selection of beers on tap. Wonderful service by the friendliest waiter, Henry (we think). We'll be back again soon!

Came here for birthday drinks on a Saturday night. Prebooked a table for approx 15 people, little did I know I pretty much had a whole bar for all my friends which was amazing, a few people came into the blind alley bar for drinks which we didn't know but other than that it was practically ours all night. The bar staff were great. The bar had a good atmosphere. Loved this place, I would recommend to my friends. Thanks for an amazing birthday.
