With him being the one who savors the wine experience more than myself (I just sip!), the degustation caught my attention with the local fare and seafood... and relatively fair price considering the full offering. It starts the mouth watering in expectation and it only get better when it reaches your table. Beautifully presented, the food quality and taste sensation is top shelf.Great place for Date Night but would be fun with a group too.Fantastically priced for both food and wine.

The great reviews led us to Clever Polly's on our way to a show at the Fringe Festival in nearby Errol Street.Whilst the wine we ordered was nice, the serves we... read more The great reviews led us to Clever Polly's on our way to a show at the Fringe Festival in nearby Errol Street.Whilst the wine we ordered was nice, the serves were only 120ml (instead of the usual 150ml) for the same price as other wine bars.Whereas other reviews said that there were many wines to choose from and the very small wine menu said to ask if you could't find a wine you wanted, it was never offered by the staff.Nor were any alternatives to the food when the chicken wings and pumpkin we wanted weren't available.Everyone raves about the food but we weren't offered anything other than the half a dozen less 2 (above) snacks. And the cheese we ordered came as a thin piece of cheese with three thin pieces of lavosh biscuit and half a dozen or so almonds. For $16.I don't doubt they do a great meal with good wines but if you are just passing through and want a wine and a snack, then I couldn't recommend this place for you.
