This restaurant is very casual and low-key, but the food is outstanding! The dishes are cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully.
Located on a quiet street, this restaurant may not have a lot of fancy decor, but the warm greeting from the waitress made up for it. As the only non-African customer, I was pleasantly surprised when the waitress brought me a bottle of ice water. The menu, mainly focused on meat and fish, was displayed on a board behind the counter. However, with some convincing, they were able to make me a tasty vegetarian dish including ful, okra, bread, and rice. I opted for the ful with saffron rice and was impressed by the generous portion size. The best part? The bill came out to only $10.
Located in a quiet side street, this restaurant doesn't boast any flashy decor. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the waitress who seated me at a table. I noticed that I was the only non-African patron, but the waitress made me feel welcome by bringing me a cold bottle of water. The menu, displayed on a board behind the counter, featured primarily meat and fish dishes, but after some negotiation, I was able to order a vegetarian option. I decided on ful (beans with cheese and spring onions in garlic) with saffron rice. The plate I received was generous in size and I was pleasantly surprised when my bill came to only $10.
