Albert park Lake has a few cafes and needing a walk and coffee is always a good combination. Carousel has outdoor seating with a view of the water and the city and is lovely on a fine winter's day. I enjoyed the coffee and the service was quick and the coffee creamy and very enjoyable. Even when I paid, the guy inside was very attentive and engaged in conversation. I will return. The best thing I can say about this cafe is the location. It was a sunny morning in Melbourne with Albert Park Lake as the back drop, you couldn't ask for more. Well some service could be good. The staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves to bother with us. It took ages to get coffee and even longer for breakfast. The food was good but you did not feel welcome. This is a great spot to unwind on a sunny day. The food is tasty, the scenery is lovely, and taking a stroll around the nearby lake is a nice way to aid digestion.
I love coming to this restaurant for a coffee and a tasty treat. The view of Albert Park Lake is fantastic. It's a peaceful and serene spot. The desserts are amazing, and I recently tried the carrot cake which was heavenly.
The location of this restaurant is fantastic! I have had coffee and tea there a few times, and the service is great. I will definitely be returning, especially when I am jogging around Albert Park Lake.
You would be forgiven for thinking that at a place like Carousel Cafe, the food wouldn't be all that great. I mean, as a cafe why would you even need to try when you are situated in such an incredible location overlooking Albert Park Lake. But Carousel Cafe's food and service came as a complete surprise quick, delicious and all at a very reasonable price.
Top notch service; both speedy and polite. Excellent setting and so refreshing on a day of decent weather. Food was spectacular. I would highly recommend the Ash Crumbed Prawns for lunch. Delectable. And great coffee too.
