The food was good and reasonably priced, the service was attentive, and the location was convenient with plenty of newspapers available for enjoying a tasty breakfast.
Cafe Scaletti is not in Elizabeth St, anymore. I believe there is another cafe there, but am not sure who operates it.
Love this little cafe, ideally located next to Queen Victoria Market, and offering an amazing breakfast with good quality coffee. Service is very good with the option of dining inside or out.
We were staying closeby and looking for somewhere for a spot of breakfast. Scalettis was selected. Breakfast menu was good and provided a wide selection with better prices and value for money than the self service buffet from the hotel we were staying in. The staff were friendly and helpful and even coped with The Mrs and her fussiness.
I spent the afternoon at this cafe working on paperwork. The staff were very helpful, constantly refilling my water and offering me regular cups of tea when they saw I needed a break. They didn't mind that I wasn't spending much as I stayed there. So, the next morning, my daughter and I went for breakfast. The food was fantastic, with a great variety and generous portions - we couldn't finish everything! I highly recommend this clean, friendly, and delicious cafe. It was also busy during breakfast time, which is always a good sign!
