Well run spot for coffee, breakfast or a glass of wine at South Melbourne market. One of our local spots to watch the world go by. Good selection of fresh produce and a well run establishment ????

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday before going to the market with a friend to have an authentic Melbourne experience. We both ordered coffees, which were served quickly and were quite good. I ordered avocado toast with poached eggs and found the toast slightly overcooked on the edges, but the portion of avocado was generous and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. The meal was filling and tasty, but a bit expensive for my liking. My friend enjoyed her open-face sandwich. The decor was charming, with plenty of outdoor seating, and the atmosphere was inviting. The restaurant was bustling when we visited, which was nice to see. I would consider returning, but I also want to explore the many other cafes in the area.

My coffee tastes alright. But the Bastia should have tried abit harder in the art. The shop was busy at the time I when . Maybe because it’s weekday.

What a great little find this cafe is. A fabulous corner position opposite the South Melbourne Market in a great area with plenty of “buzz”. The cafe is spacious and well laid out inside and out with lots of colour and personality. The service was excellent; friendly, helpful, efficient and the food was really delicious. Our group of four all tried something different gnocchi, smoked trout, Thai beef salad and the special salmon. Everyone pronounced theirs as the best. Excellent coffee and good wines. This is our new favourite place for breakfast/brunch/lunch.

We had a great time at this cafe. Our three brunch dishes were beautifully presented. The portions were a bit small considering the price, but the service was excellent.
