I went to cafe ivanhoe and had the worst experience. My partner ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was inedible, the server boy was great and very understanding and even offered to make it again and we declined and just order chips. My partner had only taken one bite and couldn't continue because the apple cider vinegar was so overpowering and there was way to much to be able to eat it. when it came time to pay the bill they still were trying to charge us for it. the young man who had been serving us went and asked the manager if he had to charge us. the nerve of this manager who was the barista at the time had the most disgusting and appalling attitude. He told us that there was nothing wrong with it and we had to pay for it, I stepped in and said it was inedible, he rudely snapped at me and told me i was wrong and he didn't think there was anything wrong with it. He the proceeded to storm through my family to go to the kitchen and try the sauce, what happened next was horrifying. He tasted the sauce and shook his head to the chef who then proceeded to throw the container of sauce in the bin, he them came back and rudely said there was nothing wrong with it and we were wrong had made us pay, even though he just made the chef throw out the container which had the same sauce as on the food. He then proceeded to make snarky comments and we left the restaurant. PLEASE avoid this restaurant at all costs, the manager is absolutely disgraceful and has no idea what customer service is.

Best Eggs Benedict and Bircher Museli we ever had... kept going back for more! Great coffee and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend

The staff at this neighborhood cafe are friendly, and the owner knows almost everyone by name.

There is a wide variety of cafes along Upper Heidelberg Road, from traditional sandwich bars to the more upscale Laurent Patisserie.

I really enjoyed the healthy meal I had with a regular cappuccino at this restaurant. The fact that they offer good internet access is a big bonus for me. The staff was very friendly.
