Description

Brother Hen is a popular cafe in the Moonee Ponds area, offering delicious food and friendly service. While some reviewers found the Spanish eggs to be overcooked and the portions to be on the smaller side, others raved about the Ham Hock Benny and the quick service. The cafe has a diverse menu catering to different dietary requirements, with vegan and gluten-free options available. Customers appreciated the accommodating staff, spacious seating options, and the presence of toys for kids and chickens in the courtyard. Overall, Brother Hen seems to be a favorite spot for locals and families looking for a great dining experience.

Friendly staff and great service. Great menu options, if you love eggs then this is the place to come. In saying that lots of other options too. I had the avocado on toast with dukkah and haloumi I it was so tasty, my friend had the Spanish eggs and thought it was divine and my partner hoed into the shushaka which was great too, everyone was mopping up their plates as it was so tasty. Great place for a casual brekky or lunch and you can check out the chooks in the backyard.

This cafe is great. The food is delicious and the staff are so accommodating and friendly. We came for breakfast and had a pram with us. The staff gave us a table that fit all of us and including the pram and continued provide us with wonderful service right up until we left. Also have toys for kids to play with and chickens in the courtyard. Will definitely go again and try their lunch menu.

Didn't know this place existed until yesterday. Service was great and nice friendly staff. The food was very good and the sourdough was the best I have eaten in awhile. Will visit again.

Great Bonsoy coffee everytime! Despite that the only listed vegan item is the Raw Bliss Ball, the staff are super accommodating for delicious vegan food options. Hopefully they incorporate more menu vegan options in the near future.
