Was Leta Schiller at Bamboo House a mag?
What we really appreciate about this place is its consistency, great food and service. Do try the Peking Duck or the Tea Smoked Duck. The other options are good too. View all feedback.

We had a booking -was quite busy . The food was quite nice but we had to ask for the menus , had to ask fir a glass of water then chase up a waiter to give us our menu! The food arrived in a timely manner once ordered . When paying the bill the till person expected me to give a tip but they did not deserve it. View all feedback.

I visited this restaurant with my wife and two other friends. after ordering my wife ordered seasonal vegetables with black bean sauce. while I lost the order, counted the amount of time wing the waiter rolled his eyes. when the food came out, my wife was baked with seasonal vegetables and black bean sauce. That would be nice, but she's vegetarian. when we overwhelmed wing and told him that the court was wrong, he argued with us that it is what she ordered. At some point, he tasted the court and took it back to the kitchen. then he returned with a teller full of snowbsen 1 piece of carrot and a piece of mushroom that later the manager said garnish: . the meal was still minus the black bonn sauce so that my wife requested a bowl of satay sauce. the top of seasonal veggies was $27 wtaf. my wife has eaten the during the teller of the snowbows and at the end asked to remove the plate for the dish from the bill. wing became very aggressive and began to hit his fist on our table. I asked him to get the manager and she came by. while talking to the manager wing twice came back to the table and fought over the top of the man. I had to ask him to leave. When he returned to the third time, it was quite obvious that the manager had not control over him and she grabbed his arm and began to push him away from our table. In summary, the manager could not have considered our thoughts less and was not interested in communicating a happy result for both parties. the fried rice was like you're picking up at a food dish! eating was average and I was surprised when I checked travel counsel before taking part. wing is in the wrong industry and so abusive and aggressive for customers is a scandal and for the manager to tolerate this behavior is just as bad. I would not return to this restaurant if it was the last that was left in melbourne I would rather give me a thousand paper cuts! I give it only 1 star because I can't give it 0. wing and his managerin who have shown the behavior that I have never seen in a restaurant before, there would have been easy entertainment for the whole restaurant. when the customer service is measured on aggression and abuse wing gets 10/10, sneak on her wing!

Too often the white wine is close to freezing. No taste. this restaurant served it right. beautiful gap between the choice of wine and then the menu came. too many great choices are especially a vegetarian. jump roll was excellent. the aubergine sichuan was...big and reminded me of traveling in yangzhou many years ago. salt and pfeffer tofu was lovely. Companion ate scallops and rockling with high lob. not cheap, but certainly great worth. will be back soon.

Enjoyed a relaxing evening with friends at Bamboo House. The manager, Anne, looked after us well. We chose a number of entree dishes followed by a main. Each entree was brought to the table separately and served to each individual (5 of us). We were...given time to enjoy each dish. Food was of high quality. Enjoyed the mussels, prawns, duck, lamb cutlets and beef dumplings. Ended the meal with some rice and sweet and sour pork, again served individually to each of us. Look forward to returning to Bamboo House in the near future.

Great Chinese restaurant. I had the braised sea cucumber for my main, gotta say I wasn't a fan of that dish, but had to try. That being said, all the other food was excellent, especially the beef pot sticker dumplings, which were quite possibly the greatest thing I've ever eaten at any Chinese restaurant....ever. All in all it was a great meal with nice friendly service. 5 stars Price per person: A$120–140 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I usually try to find something positive at every restaurant I visit and avoid leaving bad reviews. Unfortunately, this place truly tested my patience and crossed the line. We arrived around 7pm with a reservation. The restaurant was understandably busy, and we appreciated being seated quickly. A waiter brought us a wine menu, and when he returned, we politely declined as we were all driving. He kindly offered tea and water instead — so far, so good. Then things took a turn. A female staff member named Ann came over and asked if we’d ordered any drinks. I told her yes, we’d ordered tea, and returned the wine menu, asking if we could please have the food menu. That’s when the attitude started. She raised her voice, saying “this is just a drink menu.” I explained that I understood, and that’s why I was now asking for the food menu. She rolled her eyes and sarcastically asked, “Are you sure you ordered or not?” I repeated myself calmly, and then — to my shock — she laughed and told me that usually, “people have to wait for their drinks, take a sip, and then we’ll bring the food menu out.” She went on to ask if I was in a rush or that hungry , implying that unless I was desperate, I should follow their bizarre process. Honestly — what kind of hospitality is this? At a restaurant, especially during dinner time, customers should be free to see a food menu when they’re ready. If they have such an unusual policy, it should be clearly communicated upfront. As for the food — it was mediocre at best. Given the price range, there are plenty of other places where you’ll get better food, friendlier service, and a far more professional dining experience. Final thought: Save your time and money. There are better and more welcoming dining options out there. Price per person: A$60–80 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
