Aka Siro - Melbourne
Aka Siro
Description
Akasiro, once celebrated for its hot, freshly prepared Japanese dishes, now faces mixed reviews as it navigates the post-pandemic restaurant landscape. Many patrons lament the shift to pre-made takeaway meals and cold food served in disposable containers, a far cry from the delicious experiences they once cherished. While some commend the friendly service and recommend specific dishes like the Higawari Teishoku, others voice disappointment over portion sizes and abrupt table changes. Despite maintaining a vibrant atmosphere, customers yearn for the authentic dining experience that defined Akasiro before the pandemic. The restaurant's future depends on reclaiming that quality.

Intrinsic EATing whilst in Melbourne. Be prepared to wait as seating is communal but constant. Thickly sliced Salmon Sashimi with wasabi and horseradish, cucumber and avocado and pickled ginger condiments was heavenly! This time we got the chef to decide on our plate with 3 tastes DND!!! did not disappoint! so sad I couldn't fit more in! 1 beer on tap and delicious plum wine! Many non alcohol options too! Great Vibes from the kool Krew! And groovey tunes to set the mood! Thx Masayuki! You've done it again! Xx
