However, our food took an unusually long time to arrive—over 30 minutes just to get our salads. When the food finally came, one of the meals was incorrect, and the person who brought it seemed to vanish. Another waitress then approached us and asked if we had ordered the mussels. It turned out our food had been delivered to the wrong table. They continued to prepare meals, but given that the food had already been sitting for over five minutes, I was concerned about whether it had been touched by someone else, which didn't sit right with me. The portion sizes were generally small, except for the salads, which were quite large. Toward the end of our meal, our original server had an injury (I hope everything is okay), and another server took over. It then took a long time for us to receive our bill. Although the manager was present, he didn’t seem very attentive or helpful to his clearly overwhelmed staff who were doing their best to keep up with the customer volume. The kitchen was also quite slow.
I was pleased to visit the restaurant. The service was excellent, but I found the seating area in the bar to be less enjoyable, mainly because of the noise, particularly the extremely loud music that was playing. As most diners seemed to be over 50, I think we can all agree it was far too loud. The food was good and reasonably priced, but the noise level would discourage us from returning, especially for older guests we might recommend.
"Memorable experience! It was my first visit and I had a wonderful time enjoying delicious food and drinks in a fantastic atmosphere."
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I wish we had known about the event in the other room, as we had to sit at a high table, which was difficult for the older members of our group. The only other option was outdoors, which, despite the heaters, was still a bit chilly.
Such a shame place used to be amazing. Sat us outside was freezing asked to be moved and had to hear snarky jokes the rest of the night , Horrible slow service, Detroit pizza was the only good thing about dinner. Wife had seafood pasta, shrimp was not deveined which is just lazy and nasty rest of the fish was not fresh. Small portions on my chicken for the price, Even the cake at desert tasted like freezer burn. Not sure if they are under new ownership or management but it’s clear that it’s going in the wrong direction, evident by the empty bar at 9pm. I can no longer recommend this place unfortunately.
