This is a great little spot for vegan dining. It's conveniently located right off highway 44, making it easy to access for travelers. The owner is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to make sure guests are comfortable. Be sure to try the chili and BBQ tempeh sandwich if it's on the menu!
Polymath Cafe is a really nice, unexpected surprise inside the Library Center. They offer a variety of teas and specialty coffee. Their vanilla caramel iced coffee is the best I've had anywhere. The food menu varies, but everything I have ever tried has been full of flavor and delicious. Usually deli or sunbutter w/raspberry jam sandwiches are on hand, and you can request one if not. My favorites are the creamy macaroni salad, chili, lasagna, goulash, loaded taco salad and loaded nachos. They usually have fresh from the oven cinnamon rolls and lots of gluten free treats, like fresh baked cookies. A vegan cafe in a library! proof positive that veganism is the smart choice. super friendly, knowledgeable, caring staff. lots of prepackaged treats that i’ve never even seen anywhere else! try the vegan stroopwaffles!
The owner is incredibly friendly. We were surprised to find that it is a cafe located in the library, but it kind of made it unique. The cinnamon bun was delicious. We also had the nachos, pretzel, premade dinner, and soup.
I had a delightful experience at the Polymath Educational Café in Marshfield, MO! This fully vegan, plant-based café was a pleasant surprise during my cross-country road trip. I had the most delicious vegan lasagna and chatted with the lovely owner, Michelle. The menu offers a variety of options including tempeh sandwiches, chickpea sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, baked goods, and more. Michelle is even expanding to create a meeting room. I highly recommend this spot to anyone passing through Missouri or locals in the area. Michelle also gave me snacks for the road and extra coffee. I can't say enough good things about this place and Michelle. Be sure to stop by!
