I visited the restaurant with my family on a Sunday, and we had a terrible experience. The service was quite poor, and the restaurant itself was very unclean and unpleasant. I found it difficult to enjoy my meal, especially since the chef walked out in casual clothes and was busy on his phone. It was clear that the chef didn't maintain good hygiene.
Wow, this place has really gone downhill. There was only one waitress serving the entire restaurant. My wife and daughter are gluten-free, and we were informed that they had run out of gluten-free pasta—despite it being listed on the menu—30 minutes after placing our order. By that time, we were already eating our appetizer and salad, so we felt stuck and couldn't just leave. We ended up having to cancel the rest of our meal and find another place to eat. Everything about the experience was disappointing, right down to the water that tasted like dirty dishwater. I won't be coming back. I usually try to support local businesses, so it’s unfortunate to have to leave such a negative review.
The food was . Pescatora was amazing . The service was great at first but then lacked attentiveness. We watched a couple walk out because no one greeted them or showed them to a table. Waitresses walked by not acknowledging customers needs. There was not enough service to accommodate the customers. It wasn't busy but they needed more than two Waitresses.
I had a wonderful experience overall. The food was outstanding, and the service was casual, which suited my preference for a date night. I definitely recommend giving it a try!
We 've lived in MV since 2006. We have tried to love this place at least 6-7 times, and just can 't. A few group dining experiences in the past have been fantastic, and the food excellent. This time, not so much. Service was excellent, but there was only one other table seated when we arrived around 5:15 on a friday. Most of the food was over cooked, with the exception being some of the pasta which was undercooked. Kids had plain pasta and the Diavlo. Diavlo had decent spice and onions were part of the dish but seemed very excessive. The sausage was brat-sized, was very overcooked and dry. Some of the pasta was lumped together and undercooked. It was just not great and felt overpriced as a $24 dish. I had the Pescatora, most of the seafood was overcooked and definitely had a previously frozen awhile ago flare to it. The mussels were terrible and added an off flavor to the dish, lobster and shrimp tough and rubbery. Honestly, the clams were and little scallops were decent but only about 50% of them were not overcooked. This was a $42 dish! My wife had the Risotto Di Amore which is a seafood Risotto. It had decent heavy butter flavor but was basically a soup with risotto in it, not a risotto-like as she expected. Most disappointing again was the seafood was all overcooked and rubber. This was a $44 dish! Salads and bread were good, two glasses of Seven Falls Cabernet was $24, and good. All in all, a huge letdown and $165 bill before tip. Again, service was attentive and the place was filling up by the time we left. It could definitely use an update, its fairly worn, and dirty in the corners and dated. I 'm not sure why, but the windows/glass in the place have always bothered me. We 've tried over the years to like this place and after all the tries, it 's just not worth it. For the money, there are way better choices in Issaquah, Tukwila and Renton.
