What Mido Alali dislikes about Saigon:
I absolutely loved their summer rolls and had tofu skew which was good, but sadly the rice noodles and everything else were a bit disappointing. Maybe asking them to spice things up would help: otherwise it's really nice here! View all feedback.

Recently we went to this restaurant together with some friends. The food was rather pricy (Pho: 18€ as main course) while the taste was average. There are better price performance ratio Vietnamese places in Mannheim.

Nice Vietnamese restaurant with delicious crispy duck and nice (juicy) chicken dish. Good portions (except for the soup) and big kids meal portions. Like in most Asian restaurants in Germany: spicy is still not spicy at all !!The waiter was friendly and speaks very good English. The toilets are very nice and clean.

Went for a business meal. Had Genmaicha for drink and ordered the starter plate for three. Costly stuff, but tasty wontons and rice paper rolls were up to the mark. The maincourse was a coconut based curry with mushrooms, which came with an empty bowl and rice separately. Not a typical way to serve that, but hey it was stylish. The portions are relatively small, but you can't expect anything else in a medium priced place like this. The ambiance was relaxing and the service was good. Not a "must-visit" but you wouldn't make a bad choice by going there.

The restaurant is very nice and spacious. The food was tasty but not breathtaking, which is why I think the prices are a bit too high. Unfortunately our starter was forgotten and we waited a very long time for our food. But we were very kindly apologized and we were given the main course and the starter together. I think it's a bit of a shame that the food isn't presented beautifully but comes in small pots and you have to throw it together yourself. It just doesn't look that nice, and I also think you can never get enough rice for two people. Unfortunately, the yellow curry was very spicy, even though it wasn't labeled, but maybe I'm too sensitive myself. As an apology we received a small dessert on the house. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. All in all, it's worth a visit, but the experience was below my expectations.
