I ordered delivery from Macari’s this evening: fresh cod, chips, and curry sauce. I had forgotten I even placed the order by the time it arrived, which took over an hour on a Monday night. When I gave the delivery driver money, I was owed change, but he handed it back in a huge handful of coins and apologized, saying that was all he had. Always a risk with chippers that the food will be a bit greasy or not the tastiest when you get down to it, but I grabbed a quick bite to eat here the other day (kebab and chips) and can safely say it's one of...the worst chippers I've been to in a while. Chips tasted like they weren't cooked through/still frozen and kebab just wasn't enjoyable. It all struck me as very low quality. Won't be getting food from here again anytime soon.
