Feedback
**Dining Experience at Muramoto: A Mixed Review** Muramoto offers a vibrant atmosphere and an impressive selection of sushi and cooked dishes. While certain patrons praised the creatively crafted rolls and generous portions, complaints surfaced about inconsistent quality and service. Some diners enjoyed standout items like the veggie roll with beets and the dessert sampler, while others faced challenges with access and menu accuracy. Service received mixed feedback, with some noting delays but acknowledging attentive staff. Despite a few setbacks, many agreed on the restaurant's potential and flair, making it a notable option for sushi enthusiasts in the heart of Madison.
I have been eating sushi since I was 6 months old. I have tried a lot of places in IL and WI. This place is in my top 3. The sushi was fresh, high quality, and was labeled correctly (it is common for seafood restaurants to label fish one thing on the menu but serve something else). There were options here I have not seen anywhere else, such as bonito, albacore, and flounder. The moscato wine I had was really good and the ginger flan with caramel sauce for dessert was awesome.
Great food, atmosphere and service! I'd never had sushi before my visit to Muramoto and I was really impressed with the variety and freshness. The flavors and artsy presentation made Muramoto more of an experience than a meal.
Great service and amazing food. Chef Bee is beyond talented. A true journey of the senses as his cuisine passes your lips. Beautiful, fresh and bursting with flavours. I recommend spoiling yourself with multiple dishes. You'll be quite glad you did.
We always enjoy dining at this restaurant. This time, we made a reservation through Open Table, but the menu on the website wasn’t up to date, which was disappointing since I had selected a few dishes that weren't available. One of our favorite things about this restaurant is the Dessert Sampler—it’s a great deal at around $15 for five desserts to share. Unfortunately, the desserts this time were a bit of a letdown. The chocolate avocado cake seemed like an Iron Chef challenge that went wrong. On the positive side, the spicy tuna roll was, as always, delicious. The Asian slaw was also fantastic and a great value, offering a generous portion that serves as a lovely palate cleanser. While this visit wasn't our favorite, we’ll definitely return in the future.
