What Timothy Nott likes about Chen's Dumpling House:
Quaint hole in the wall operation with really good dumplings. Everything was really tasty. My only complaint was that the duck leg in my soup had a pulverized bone, which made getting the meat a bit tricky. Otherwise, delicious.Food: 4/5 View all feedback. What Lenny S doesn't like about Chen's Dumpling House:
Chen's dumplings should be renamed to Chen's Palace of bland. Average tasting dumplings with below average noodles. If the broth had some seasoning in it it would be called water. I also ordered sticky chicken rice, which was 100% correct. However, it seemed they left out seasoning in the recipe. This place is great if you're allergic to good food. View all feedback.

read moreChen's Dumpling House, a cozy eatery on State Street, presents a feast for dumpling lovers, boasting a diverse menu that includes handmade noodles and enticing soups. While some diners laud the delicious pork and chive dumplings as standouts, others criticize the broth's lack of flavor and the quality of side dishes. Repeated praises for easy online ordering contrast with complaints about service and portion sizes, creating a nuanced reputation. Despite its unassuming atmosphere and occasional oversights, Chen's remains a beloved spot for those in search of comforting, authentic flavors in Madison, Wisconsin.
