Very cold atmosphere and simple decoration. Reasonably priced menu but pour cooking. To much salt very small portions. Extra for chese Euros for minute portion. Unfriendly service by the owners wife. Got very upset, nearly agressive when we expressed our disappointment. .
Nicolas, chef, and Lucie, front of house, own this restaurant just off the Macon quayside. The food was exceptionally good with some imaginative twists. We enjoyed a delicious squash/pumpkin soup with toasted seeds and marinated salmon to start with, followed by a really outstanding slow-cooked pork...belly. We aren't normally dessert eaters, but the déclinaison of clementine things done with clementines) and the salted caramel mille feuille proved too tempting. A good decision. The service was good. The only thing that could have improved it was more customers only three tables were occupied. But it was February.
