The service was extremely slow, even though only four tables were occupied. I finished my drink by the time the food finally arrived, and I didn’t get a refill until I had already finished my meal. The waiter took a long time to return for payment as well. As for the food, it was mediocre at best. I’m not sure if this restaurant is managed by the same people as the one on 82nd Street, where the food is good, but here it was bland with small portions. I had more than enough time to write and edit this review several times before they finally came to process my payment.

They also... read more The food was extremely fresh and skillfully crafted. I usually evaluate sushi restaurants by their salmon sashimi, and this place did not disappoint. They also offered a great selection of rolls and cocktails. I was truly impressed by this spot in Lubbock! I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town. Our waitress, Kasey, was fantastic as well!

I hurried back to Hayashi Midtown, the last place I had used it, just 15 minutes before they opened for lunch. They kindly allowed me inside and returned my card, which they had safely kept in their cash register overnight. Fortunately, it hadn't been used. I was truly impressed by their integrity, and they definitely deserve an extra star for that!
