My husband felt that the pizza could have used something extra, as he prefers spicier green chilies, and these were on the milder side. However, they were perfect for anyone who doesn’t like too much heat. The sauce was amazing! The cheese bread was also excellent. We had fantastic service and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely return, but I think I’ll try a different pizza next time.

This time, I ordered the special, the Capital Cordon Bleu, and it surpassed all my expectations in terms of flavor. The yellow topping is a delightful Dijon drizzle. This restaurant consistently provides an amazing dining experience, making it difficult for me to think about trying another pizza place in Lubbock in the future!

Our experience w... read more During my visit to Lubbock to see family, I wanted to find a great pizza place. I was recommended Capitol Pizza, so I decided to give it a try. Our experience was fantastic, largely thanks to a young man named Joseph. He provided excellent suggestions and had a wonderful personality. Joseph was great with the small children, keeping them entertained and engaged throughout our meal. He ensured we had everything we needed and was also attentive to other diners. He truly made our trip unforgettable. Because of Joseph, I will definitely return to Capitol Pizza every time I'm in Lubbock. I highly recommend stopping by to try it out!

It’s a bit pricier (around $22 for a large pizza), but the quality is worth it. What’s their standout offering? The jalapeño popper pizza. It features a cream cheese base, topped with goat cheese, cheddar, fresh jalapeños (which are way better than pickled ones when cooked), and bacon. It's absolutely fantastic. Even better, they have perfected the art of making a crust that’s both crispy and chewy—consistent every time. You have to give this place a try!

We had to request a table cleanup three ti... read more Unfortunately, our server seemed unenthusiastic and more focused on cleaning her section than attending to customers. We had to request a table cleanup three times, and no one asked if we wanted additional drinks or refills, despite the fact that we arrived at 9 PM when they weren't busy. Our salad and appetizer took 20 minutes to arrive, while our entrees took an entire hour! When the food finally came, one calzone was missing. Everyone at our table had finished eating and settled their checks, yet the calzone never arrived, even after 30 minutes. The server offered to bring it to-go, but that never happened, so we ended up leaving without it, and she seemed completely unaware. One person had to share food with someone else since their order never came. To top it all off, the wings appetizer showed up after the pizza did. We had to ask multiple times for ranch dressing, and when we finally received it, it was in a container that had been left on a dirty table. While the food itself was great, the poor service and long wait times will make us think twice about returning.
