I specialize in kitchen renovations, but this place is Grandma's country kitchen 2.0. It's both a local market and an excellent southern-inspired restaurant. You can expect to be enveloped in the warmth of true comfort food and the nostalgic energy of bygone days when meals were savored and everyone took the time to chat. Since it was my first visit, I didn’t get to explore the menu much—I had chicken sausage, eggs, and pancakes—but everything was delightful. The prices are reasonable, and this is a local gem you definitely shouldn’t miss.
This charming little dive restaurant offers great value for money. The food is made to order, so if you're in a hurry, it might not be the best choice for you. However, in my opinion, the food is exceptional.
The best soul food-style chicken wings in Long Beach! They're hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The customer service was fantastic. Located right at the corner of the shopping center, they also cook everything to order! The biscuits were absolutely outstanding!
The food is delicious, and the hospitality and customer service are spot on. The prices are great, and the entire atmosphere is warm and welcoming, reminiscent of the friendly treatment you would receive in the South—specifically, Gulfport, Mississippi!
Absolutely delicious! I had the fried shrimp po-boy along with the fried chicken, which came with loaded mashed potatoes, collard greens, and fries. I finished off the meal with a refreshing sweet tea. Everything was fantastic and truly authentic southern cuisine. Thank you, Ms. Lavon! I look forward to coming back soon!
