Saltwater Grill in Galveston offers a mix of classic favorites and new menu items. The Shanghai Delight stands out as a must-try, while the grilled redfish showcases fresh flavors. Some patrons were disappointed by the lack of bread and the noisy atmosphere, but overall, the food and service received high praise. Although some menu changes were met with disappointment, the Texas Redfish and black cod with miso broth were standout dishes. The restaurant's ambiance, attentive service, and delicious food make it a top choice for a memorable dining experience.
It is recommended to make a reservation as there can be a wait of 30-45 minutes during busy times. The area is filled with charming local shops and cozy cafes, providing a pleasant way to pass the time while waiting for your table. I ordered the fish and chips, which were fine, but the standout for me was the delicious beet and melon drink.
The food and service at this restaurant are excellent, but be prepared to park at a metered spot two blocks away.
I tried the Captain Crunch Berry Pancakes and they were delicious. The Mac and Cheese had plenty of mushrooms. Their Vanilla Latte was excellent. The sausage sandwich was large enough to share between two people. The Chicken Caesar Salad was fresh and crispy.

Chillin' on the rooftop, sippin' yummy drinks and snacking on tasty tidbits! They got a fab drink menu and seafood galore for nibbles. Crab cakes? Crispy but pint-sized!
