We booked lunch at Plano on a Saturday in July. I had expected to be seated outside, but that was my mistake for not checking properly. That said, we were in for a surprise — we had the entire restaurant to ourselves. It felt truly special, like a private dining experience with the full team and kitchen just for the two of us. The food was incredible. I honestly don’t have enough words to describe the amount of thought, work, and emotion that went into each dish. It’s one of the rare times in my life I truly felt the storytelling of a chef through food. You could sense the heart and soul behind every flavor, every technique, every choice of ingredient. Even the plates weren’t just plates — they were handmade ceramics shaped like the mountains of the chef’s region. I’ve never seen anything like that. The service was, of course, perfect. Attentive, warm, and discreet. And while value is personal, in my opinion, what you get here is far beyond what you pay. It’s not just a meal, it’s an experience. We’ll definitely be back — next time in the garden, for dinner. If you want to sit outside, make sure to book for the evening Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had a great meal here with paired wines. Everyone was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The whole meal was centred around the chef’s heritage which was a lovely touch and meant each dish had an authentic story behind it. They also made me the most delicious birthday cake ever! Plano provided us a wonderful experience. Service could not have been any better and loved the cozy architecturally attractive atmosphere. A bit hit and miss with food. Plating of all courses was creative and interesting. The best dish was roe on a pastry on a hand shaped plate. Really stunning presentation. The smoked shrimp with stuffed squash blossom and potato soup also outstanding. Enjoyed being able to select knife to use on beef course. The crème brûlée over a madeline was a nice dessert. Biggest food miss was course with cod fish tongue. Fishy tasting and very chewy. Then, overall too much food on many of the courses. Definitely a case of where they should be following a “less is more” philosophy. Did the six course tasting and that was way too much food. Suggest not eating the bread presented in early course. You’ll need the room to enjoy the rest of the courses that follow.
After a great dinner here just a few months earlier, we thought we were going to enjoy the same experience, but sadly, it was an expensive EXPENSIVE failure. This time, we didn’t get the same friendly welcome, and we should have known that something was off. Despite arriving shortly after they opened for dinner, the staff were already struggling. The friendly staff we met months earlier were gone, replaced by folks who seemed to be unable to keep up. The restaurants appeared to be understaffed. Service was erratic, at best, and the food and wine pairings were not always in sync. Sometimes there were long pauses waiting for a glass or plate of something. Each time they brought a plate, the waitstaff only spent a few seconds reciting the ingredients but did not inject any personal comments or promoting interaction, running away quickly back to the kitchen instead. FOOD AND DRINKS Some of the dishes were good, but a couple of dishes were not to our liking at all. Some of the wine pairings did not make sense at all. Sometimes we had already finished the glass of wine when the dish arrived late. They still serve the terribly sour wine from the Azores island (is it Simas? , which a person in my party almost spitted out and didnt drink it. We would have asked for a different wine if the waitstaff had been more attentive and had asked us if we liked it or not. ATMOSPHERE A couple nearby decided to bring their newborn? baby, and the baby did what babies do, disrupting the atmosphere. We did not enjoy having to smell some aromas while we tried to sip our champagne. I wish folks realized that there are restaurants where you should not bring young children, or restaurants in this category should have a strict age limit. In addition, some folks also thought it was OK to use their phones while having dinner, so the noise level got disruptive at times. SUMMARY When you spend hundreds of US Dollars for a meal, you expect at a minimum outstanding service. A good restaurant should have a contingency plan so they are not understaffed, and they have to hire better staff. A great restaurant has to deliver each time, or stop charging so much money for a mediocre experience. I will stop recommending this restaurants to my friends and visitors, and I will avoid this restaurant. Lisbon is full of many less expensive, much better places to eat, no need to waste your money here.
Our favorite restaurant of our entire trip in Portugal. Service was so attentive and warm. Each course was delicious and special. The wine pairings were spot on and unique. We were a little surprised by the location, but once you’re inside it’s inconsequential. Highly recommend.
Amazing, creative and sensational tasting menu. Very personal you felt the chef's touch in every bite. The service was also amazing thanks to Eva! We took the 9 course menu, with wine pairing. Heaven!
Fantastic food, fantastic service and I strongly recommend visiting as part of your Lisbon trip. We had the 6 course menu and every dish was different, flavourful and delivered with a story by very friendly and professional staff. The food is easily as good as Michelin star restaurants I've been to in England and France.

Amazing food and the people are incredible. Specially Lorenzo, the bartender and Natasha our server. It’s off the beaten path and you should absolutely go and eat there.
This place was awesome, I’ve been for the new year it was kind of hidden but once inside we received such a warm welcome ! The waiters was so kind and explained everything with lots of of fun facts ! The food was indeed incredible and the price worth it for sure. The taste was perfect and the wines matches were a success. I definitely recommend this place for special occasions and moments full of joy. Thanks again for this new year !
An amazing place for a romantic fine dining experience. The service was friendly and the sommelier showed his knowledge and passion for the local wines. The food was traditional Portuguese in a modern fine dining style. I had to send one dish back as it was undercooked. But minutes later I had a perfect version. Sometimes the restaurant was a bit loud and busy. But we had a great time, great food, we will come back.
My boyfriend took me here on the NYE! The food was amazing and incredible. Grateful for the kindness. Just perfect. Obrigado :
Very special tasting menu, great balance between experimentation and quality. The main dishes are all the highlights, the desserts are not very sweet (a big plus! and worth trying. Good selection of high quality Portuguese wines. Nice atmosphere, great music and very friendly staff. This place definitely deserves a Michelin star.

At last I had to check this place after a past on my list. in general it is a solid experience. the food was delicious. yes, but definitely not to write home. the salt levels were inconsistent and the dishes were more or less “monoton”.The basil dessert was the best we had, it was super expressive with a beautiful selection of taste. we spent approx. €600 for our table of 4. good moods, but not a place I would visit again.
We had a really nice time in the restaurant, we discovered some really great wein and eating was absolutely delicious. our server was really professional and he really explained all the dishes, I recommend this great restaurant
We had such a lovely experience at Plano… we had the 9 course tasting menu and it couldn’t have been any better the service was amazing, everyone was honestly so passionate about what they do which was so lovely and the food was so good, especially sword fish tartar
Absolutely superb restaurant in Graca, really demonstrating that fine dining doesn’t have to be so formal or over the top. Simple yet refined dishes taking on that farm to table ethos and executing it to perfection. Selection of cocktails and wine is also fantastic, they have a collaboration with one of the top cocktail bars in the world and this is truly reflected through the quality of drinks served at Plano. Service from start to finish was excellent, fun and honest staff make the experience a whole lot more enjoyable! Will be returning again to experience the 9 course meal, and wine pairing.
The service is a 5 stars, especially the somm that took care of us. eating was hit or missed and a 3.5 star. the best by far was the smash. so well balanced with some heat on the back. that belonged to us should be cubile and I think that would have been much better. the fish course just didn't work for us. too salty. the lemon potatoes in the court were great. the opening is fantastic, but came warm. the wine list is varied, extensive and surprising in good wise. hard to say when you should go. I think a yes, as theny meyer says. go for eating back for the service.
