What Anonym dislikes about Junction:
Five of us went to Junction for Christmas lunch. The food was enjoyable, but we were shocked when the bill arrived. VAT was charged twice—once at one rate and again at another—which didn’t make sense. When we questioned it, the waitress said it was VAT on food, yet the menu prices didn’t include VAT. I brought a bottle of Buck's Fizz to celebrate, but the waitress saw it and asked us to put it away, which we did. We... View all feedback.
I love this restaurant, it’s one of my favourite in clonmel. I think the dessert menu could be updated again tho.. my favourite dessert was the bubble waffles and I would go every year for my birthday for bubble waffles. I think they really need to be put back on the menu. I also think the restaurant could benefit by adding açai bowls especially in the summer months and how popular they’re becoming it would be a great addition to this already great restaurant.
As a student at TUS, we were encouraged to explore Clonmel's café scene and write a review of our favorite spot. Junction stands out as the perfect example of quality in terms of staff, service, and food. The décor is warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere enhanced by the open bar and kitchen. I especially enjoyed the large aquarium filled with a variety of fascinating fish. I arrived with two friends, and we were promptly seated and given menus. Although I came to review their coffee, the menu tempted me to try some food as well. I ordered a sweet chili chicken wrap with vegetable soup on the side, and it was very satisfying. For coffee, I chose an Americano, since I already know how excellent their latte is. The Americano was decent—slightly weak in flavor but clearly made from high-quality roasted beans. However, the cup was smaller than average, and given the price, I felt it lacked the flavor and value I expected. I definitely prefer their latte, which is always perfectly steamed and creamy. My friends opted for toasted sandwiches with tea and were happy with their choices, though they don’t drink coffee and didn’t contribute much to my coffee review. Overall, I had a great experience. I would rate the food and latte much higher than the Americano. The staff were wonderful—attentive but never intrusive—and the whole visit felt like a glimpse of the kind of service Clonmel’s hospitality industry should aspire to.
Excellent service and dining experience; this place is a real asset to Clonmel with a vibrant, city-like atmosphere. The new visual screens are fantastic—both adults and children enjoy them. Truly well done.
After hearing so much buzz about The Junction, I decided to check it out. The friendly staff, great music, and varied menu really stood out. Although it was a bit disappointing that they close at 6pm, I still enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. The prices were a little high for daytime, but the food quality justified it. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in nearby Cahir, as it’s conveniently located just across the street.
The food at Junction was delicious, but I found the kids' portions to be somewhat overpriced. Additionally, the children's plates were flashy, shaped like plastic guitars. I would prefer if older children were served on regular plates instead. Overall, the menu offers great options, but the presentation for kids could be improved.
